As expedted overall, The holdster is nice, but the female clip is made of has plastic and may break when placing the DVA inside. It's a bit bulky compare to others

I've been brand loyal to ortovox beacons since the 80s. They always seemed to have the most straightforward controls. I had to acquire more digital beacons since my kids are starting touring. The extra range first caught my eye with the Mammut beacons. If you compare the search window on youtube to other beacons I think you will see they are perhaps the most clear and intuitive beacons in the search process, great for teaching to meet bc people. Also the switch between send, search, and back to send is a clear, well protected, manual switch which I prefer over other brands. I still like and trust the ortovox, but students and new tourers get the Mammut switches immediately.
