As extensible rods, they are quite sturdy, but certainly not exactly the same as one-piece ones. Ok as long as you don't use it in the longest position. The extensions are simple and functional and easy to adjust. There is plenty of room for tightening. The handles insulate well and are comfortable even in the rain. The ends of the handle are large, so taking support and leaning is nice. Ok hiking poles. Plus, it works as a spare rod in winter, even though winter powder is not a powder sump.
