Definitely a good purchase for running dogs in Lapland in winter!
It is also able to travel well in deeper blind spots, on traveled routes that are too slippery in the uplands (however, this may also be affected by the size of the user). Comfortable to carry in the car. They are also easy with dogs and in the closed forest because of their size.
The bindings could be more adjustable, with size 37 shoes you have to tighten to the extreme position. After a few training sessions, the ties also stayed on and it's easy to put even three dogs to help every time you start :D

Good product. The ties are easy to install and adjust.
I personally have no previous experience with sliding snowshoes, they work well and bring freedom to move in the forest.
It's good when it's already lubricated.
Use requires practice at first (e.g. uphill and downhill, getting up when falling into thick snow). I think it works best in soft snow.

Really fast delivery! The installation of the bandages was also quick and easy, because the included installation instructions are clear and well equipped with pictures.
The bindings worked well and held when the memory leaves the requested gap between the front tip of the shoe and the binding. Thus, it was possible to be very strict.
It was a surprise to me that the ski gripped really well on the uphill, when I remembered to "tamp" the ski when taking a step forward.
In the sparse forest, where there is brush and brush under the snow, the upward progress was also more skillful than I expected.
The skis are light and nimble, so you can lift your legs over the branches easily.
And the descent; the best feeling ever!! You can calculate your own routes, the skis carried well everywhere.
A plus is that they are sturdy and easy to handle even under a beginner skier.
They became best friends right away =)
Remember to invest in suitable poles if you ski in places with a lot of snow.

It's really easy on the flat, better and faster than snowshoes! You can even ski on soft snow, but you can't get to the decks on a hard surface. Going uphill, it quickly becomes challenging and you have to zigzag, which means that you can get better in this terrain with traditional snowshoes. All in all, a lot of fun!

The snowshoes were a great purchase for winter dog runs! The length of the 129 cm ski is suitable for a 175 cm man in the open forest. In a longer ski, the sliding would probably be better, but the controllability in the closed forest and forest is worse. Yes, even with these you sometimes have to twist the wind quite hard. The edge of the ski could be more durable, but you don't dare take the steel edges for jogging with the dog. The base is also sensitive to scratches. I guess I was expecting a slightly better quality material for this price.
The ties are practical and good. On one occasion, the heel has come off the binding, but this can be fixed with a tighter adjustment to the size of the shoe. There must not be any extra space left in the binding, so that the footwear fits quite tightly between the front and back edge. Tightening and releasing the strap is really convenient.

Order, deadline, delivery => perfect.
Our first uses on hard snow, were scabrous, we think that a use in fresh and deep snow will delight us.
On the straps of the bindings, the notches stop before you can properly tighten kicks that are not too "strong" and provide a passer-by
to store the lanyard.
Very satisfied with this discovery and the product.
Good outings in Ski-Snowshoeing!

These are so good my wife stole mine and I had to buy another pair! They make navigating the countryside a breeze. I'm not a good skier so I appreciate that the skins slow you on the downs and make climbing a breeze.

There is a limit of 90 kg in the closed box, after which it goes straight to the bottom. When immersed the ski stretches well on the arch, the middle can be 10cm lower than the ends. If the snow is over 40cm, progress is almost impossible. Non-existent side grip on a "hard" bottom. A 45-size Nokia winter boot is not suitable for the top piece, it is difficult to matter because it requires stiffer footwear. Positively grip and glide correspond to the promised and with the old sledge groove, where the bottom a little frozen also carries more than 100kg. But there is nothing wrong with a deep-seated project

I use OAC WAP 127, OAC XCD GT as well as various snowshoes and poor forest skis of the Finnish and Swedish armies.
---
1) WAP: An excellent alternative to snowshoes. Short and agile. Good grip on the hills. Similarly, on steady and downhill slopes, ski-like progress is not possible with WAPs. Carrying capacity is equivalent to most snowshoes and the XCD GT 160.
---
2) XCD GT 160: My favorite. Forest ski-like. Able to glide somewhat in a ski-like way, but not in a deadlock where advancing WAP-like gliding. The hills can be lowered a bit, the grip on steep uphills stops. Then let's go v-style and so on.
---
3) Snowshoes. I like these too. At its best in hilly and densely growing terrain. Compact and convenient solution.
---
4) Army Forest Skis. At its best with wide openings like a swamp. In my use, the XCD GT 160 practically completely replaced these.
---
All of the above are just fine. His side and his side. If I could only keep one, it would be the XCD GT 160. If there are already good snowshoes, I would buy the XCD GT 160. If there are none but want one, I would buy WAP 127.

The slippers themselves work as expected, we are happy with them.
The ties that came with it were disappointing instead. The heel of the shoe tends to come off the bandage because the bandage does not have high enough support for the shoe. We added a strap to the heel to support the heel of the shoe, this way we kept the shoe in place.

Well carried in the snow by such an 85kg man. Not as stable as KAR147 if the base is harder. Light and handy in denser twigs or uneven rock, etc. Works really well with a 10 year old child. A strong recommendation if you are planning slippers for a child over 140cn! The bandage is not as convenient as the KAR147 skis I bought earlier.

I bought these instead of snowshoes for winter sports and it is good for them to move in a closed box, although the snow is only 35cm. The heel of the bandage should have a deeper cup for the shoe, now the heel of the shoe rises too easily from the bandage. On the first mile, the shoe certainly came loose 15 times. In a dense forest these are very good to move around, for longer trips in thick snow you may need longer models.

The OAC wap 127, with universal binding, is a very well made, high quality HOK ski. Varuste shipped them here to Canada quickly, with no fuss, we paid the usual gst/hst, and they arrived at our post office. After several outings in the local mountains, my missus loved them, but, decided to switch to the nnnBC boot/binding setup. A BIG improvement in comfort, and control, she finds that they far extend the distances she can travel into the back-country, compared to snowshoes. With good control up, and down hills, they are really fun to use. I have the same setup in 147, am equally pleased, and highly recommend them if you are looking for a HOK ski. Thank you Varuste for your excellent service and product.

Pretty good to play with, but if you want more ski slippers you should buy longer ones. These are indeed walked a little sliding. I didn't try it in all the weather. In the closed field in the field and in the forest with nice paws. On a snowmobile groove where some snow came from the cross-country skiing feel. The ice had a good grip too. Missing a plus experiment ...

In the woods shine because of its length. 85 kg might need more carrying space. In addition, steel edges could bring some stability to the fall on harder snow.
They slide surprisingly well and the grip is in place.
A good choice for busy hiking, short hikes, ice fishing, etc., but longer hikes require more length ....

Carry with very thick powder. On a flat, thick powder compared to skis, heavy when the foot has to be lifted every step over the hoe. On a hard surface, lateral grip is almost non-existent, ie it works best when there is even a thin layer of soft on the surface. The ties have worked well for a month.
Overall rating |
Snowshoes better than half a meter in deep umpihankikäytössä, no progress still no light. Return trip with the same tracks almost skiing. With a battered banana not yet tried. There is little lateral grip, but with a dog, these steel-free Waps are safer. Easy to adjust, fits well in the car.

Otherwise, really happy with the product, but by the time in the woods, the tip of the “ski” would curve a little more upwards so that it wouldn’t be so easily left inside the hoe and also a decent plus ski “ski” jar when the snow caught it. But despite these, the best shopping for a long time. I highly recommend!

OAC sliding skis for the purpose for which they were acquired have been exactly what I'm thinking. Yes I had snowshoes, and I have tehnnyt many walking, but the slide would have been longing for some place down the hill. With these OAC slides, you can do just that. They have handy ratchet ties that fit all shoes. And are not too long in a dense forest by + storage and transportation suitable for a small space.

Works great on forest trips. Keep uphill, sliding, but still slow enough downhill. Faster than traditional snowshoes. Safer than skis for the inexperienced skier. When he fell on a steep hill, the adjustment of the second bandage changed places, but it was quickly repaired back. Suitable for me (163cm / 60kg). I use Meindl Nordkap PRO shoes, with which the "center" of the upper bandage does not hit the center of the shoe, even if the adjustment is extreme. However, at least so far, there has been no harm.

Perfect for off-track skiing in the hilly backcountry of the Canadian Shield, especially in soft fresh snow where they track very well. Compared to 35cm snowshoes in 24" of heavy but fresh snow, these stayed on top of the snow much better, were less tiring, and of course much more fun on the descents. However, obviously they can't climb as well as snowshoes: I had to traverse some steeper slopes that the snowshoes went straight up. The short length makes for easy navigation through denser forests. On hardpack/icy surfaces, the combination of a very wide ski with no steel edges means they slide sideways a lot. However, this was compounded by my boots having minimal ankle support. For those conditions, I found the OAC KAR 147s perform better, being both narrower and having steel edges means they provide for better edging. Would be curious to try a more supportive Telemark boot like a T4. EA bindings are super convenient and create a very natural bending point at the toes.

The order was straightforward and problem-free. The delivery was also very quick.
Since the WAP 127 UC has no steel edges, there are unfortunately small notches on the edges, despite all caution. And they slide easily to the side on already trodden snow, which makes walking difficult for the inexperienced. That is the only point of criticism.
Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

Closed skis and bindings that do not work in a closed procurement or in a supply carrier.
Bandages are the worst part of the package. Between the adjustable mechanism of the bandage shoe, snow accumulates and the bandages stretch in a short time in a closed loop. To remove agglomerated snow, the ski must be removed from the foot and the bandage used and the snow cleaned and the bandage adjusted according to the shoe. This procedure should be repeated at least every 5 minutes by the end of the deadlock. If the cleaning is not carried out, the bandages initially applied to the correct tension will loosen in the foot and eventually the skis / bandages will come off the foot completely (this too has been tried and the head has been rubbing first). There is a large design error in the adjustment of the bandages. A plus can be given to the bandages for their easy adjustability, but this doesn’t help much due to the arduous problem of bandages and the lack of dead-end suitability. Bindings EA Binding 0/5 points
Skis are the better side of the package. The coat works well in slightly harder / wet snow, with a soft glide the ski slides backwards (user weight 80kg). In a dead end, the ski stays in the direction. Hangella skis want water sideways, skis have no "guides" and the ski is wide and small. Iron edges would be a nice addition to these skis. The skis are light and short, so they are handy to carry. I have not been able to get terribly good glide on skis despite the use of creams and grip conditioners (gels 0'C - -25'C, liquid glide creams used). Snow has not adhered to the soles and hair. The soles have already been slightly scratched after 2 months of use, the quality of the soles cannot be blamed for this, but the user's own achievements when the skis sometimes scratch the forest bottoms under the snow. Skis OAC Wap 127 UC 3/5 points
As a whole, the package is not really suitable for a closed project. Skis of this length and width are not suitable for users weighing 80kg or more. The bindings are very disappointing and are not suitable for closed use at all due to their design flaws. I do not recommend the ties to anyone who is thinking about using them in a closed way. The ties themselves are completely overpriced. Overall 2/5 points

Very good return for a first experience, you have to like trudging because obviously, it is less catchy than snowshoes uphill and it slides less well than ski touring downhill but it is a very fun way, goes everywhere and very accessible (light gear and adaptable to standard hiking boots) to walk in snowy terrain in winter. For 80Kg, I was a little afraid of the lift in powder snow but it goes nickel.

These are beautiful! Seem very well made. Surprisingly light. Binding was easy to set up on arrival. Love that the binding is universal, so I can share them with my wife until our kids get big enough to let us both go out together. No special boots required! Shipping was very quick, received within a week. We don't need trails where we're going!

We are convinced of the concept and do not regret our purchase.
However, the descent did not seem at all obvious to us (we took turns trying 2 adults and 2 good skier children aged 9 and 11) and the binding tended to come off when falling downhill (I think ice prevented it from being properly engaged at the start).

These skis are a joy to use. We live on a hilly farm and wanted something that would handle rugged, ungroomed trails. What a dream to be able to ski in our own backyard. I did not think I would be able to get up our steep hills but it's as easy as a summer hike with the OAC Skis. The binding action is brilliant, too. Beautifully crafted. Best purchase of the year and loved them so much my husband bought a pair.

Well-functioning waps in the Lommol fell in Muonio in soft snow both ascending and descending. Agile in the forest. The ties are easy and quick to put on and adjust. The day before, there was a tougher project at the top of the mountain, so then when coming down on snowshoes it was necessary because the edges were missing from the waps.

Great games. Been in use for a couple of weeks and already 100 km behind ... Agile to handle and put on your feet, steady progress anywhere. At Hankikeli, the slopes of the slopes no longer end on a wooden side like with ordinary forest skis. Walking does not strain your feet as much as regular snowshoes. The long-lasting heel pain disappeared completely as they passed. The only downside was that expensive purchase price. Hopefully now then they will last really long. I highly recommend.

In the after-heat of the first skiing you have to come to glow. Perfect sneakers for me, meet all your needs for snow camping and exercise. Agile to handle, easy to maintain and put on your feet, smooth progress almost anywhere. The width of the ski and the use of its own shoe completely eliminated the pain of the feet, which has prevented the use of boots and boots. All the best games!
