Worked well for alpine and cross-country skiing. It also works well in the cold. The only challenge was to get all the grooves of the roof racks covered, so that the "whining" of the wind stops.

Thule snowpack works great and as expected, as must of Thule's products (in my experience)! Maybe the only disappointment, that I have is that I have to cut holes in the rubber ribbon on the Thule Wingbar Edge to fit the screws through. That means that when I use the Thule Windbar Edge for other purposes, for example a roof box, I should ideally cover those gaps in the ribbon again. A bit of a hassle.

An easy way to carry your skis with you and it doesn't take much time to attach them. Yes, I recommend that if there is no need to travel long distances, there is no need for protection.
