First of all, it should be noted that the capacity of this bag is higher than what many sites or YouTube reviews indicate. The internal volume is actually 2250 Cu In / 36.9 l (data written on the bag label), the total volume with the external pockets is 2850 Cu In / 46.7 l (according to Eberlestock), so we are far from the 34 or 31 l often quoted by mistake. With the two 2 l accessory pockets (actually 2.25 l) that fit perfectly into the bag without hindering access to the side pockets, we can increase the total capacity of this bag to more than 51 l, for example the capacity of the TT RAID PACK Mk III, but with more modularity and much better accessibility to the pockets. By adding 2 small "general purpose" pockets to be placed on the belt, we can even reach 54 l. Of course it won't be the lightest bag, but you can't have everything, and you're not heavier than the TT RAID PACK for example. By changing the side pockets for larger ones (Eberlestock), or by adding others (Zpacks) which will be held by the compression straps, you can easily increase this capacity to 70 l. With the FAC TRACK, I finally found a bag adapted to my slim size (1m77 for 63 Kg) while the TTs have a back that is too long, and the Fjallraven Kajka doesn't fit on my hips. Here the back adjustment (unfortunately a little difficult because the adjustment loops are too tight, so we'll avoid adjustments on the way) allows you to have a strap that adapts even to a very slim morphology like mine. Also note, the FAC TARCK now has a "PULL FORWARD" belt that can be easily tightened by pulling forward. Thanks to Eberlestock for being willing to add this improvement to a bag that has been in their catalog for a long time. Otherwise, the bag seems comfortable to me for the moment (I will update this review if necessary), with the advantage of being quite compact compared to the competition (does not protrude behind the head or on the sides), in fact it is almost in the IATA standards (without the additional pockets) if you do not fill it to the top with a minimum height of 55 / 56 cm and a detachable belt. In any case, it will be easier to transport (car, bus, train) because of its affordable proportions. Among the strong points, the PULL FORWARD adjustment, good back ventilation, side pockets that are both easy to access (you can put a military canteen in them without any problem) but that can also be secured, the large front opening in addition to the classic access from the top, the comfort, the MOLLE accessorization possibilities (for my part 2 x 2L + 2 x GENERAL PURPOSE SMALL + straps). Note that the integrated rain protection covers the bag, but not the bag + 2 side pockets. As it is detachable, you just have to replace it with a more suitable one. Among the points that could have been better: the lack of small pockets and compression strap inside (previous version) and a single and not a double slider zip for the top pocket (it's not a big deal). After a long search (TT RAID PACK Ml III, Mystery Ranch PINTLER, Fjallraven KAJKA 65, among others) I think I finally found the bag I was looking for combining comfort, solidity, modularity and compactness. At first glance, a really high-quality backpack. Let's wait for heavier trips and see if it lives up to its reputation.

The weight is distributed very evenly on the body and when properly adjusted, the backpack is not even noticeable on the back. There is also plenty of space in the small pockets.

I myself actively use the older model of the backpack, with mollekuja along the entire length of the backpack. Ergonomically very good. Functional daypack. Maybe a bit small in terms of size, you have to tie the sleeping bag and pad to the outside of the backpack if you want to take them with you.

The backpack is very nice, well structured and allows for good organization in cramming the contents, thanks also to large external pockets. Convenient front and top access. The only flaw I'm experiencing is due to the material of the shoulder straps which are very padded and would seem comfortable, but something comes out of the seams here and there through the fabric that "stings" the skin if you wear only a light shirt as it can be in summer. This is what I have noticed on other ends of the same brand. However, I miss testing them over long distances to understand whether or not this thing affects the comfort which otherwise would be very good, given that the shoulder straps can be adjusted in height very easily and the waist band is generous and supports well, as well as the lumbar padding.

One of Eberle's best models for my own use. The side/main pockets can be conveniently sorted with smaller knapsacks, and the main compartment can fit a few days' worth of equipment and snacks. Soft shoulder straps and an all-round neat backpack. The 10-year warranty isn't a disadvantage either... Compared to the Halftrack, this lacks the tube pockets on the sides and is slightly bigger. I've used both, this one is better.

BRILLIANT RUCKSACK Reviewers on You Tube commented on its comfort to wear, with its narrow design it certainly is unobtrusive. I have removed the plastic backplate to save on a little weight, and it still rides nicely. The adjustable harness system is a Godsend, so quick to alter. When practicable I remove the velcro waistbelt and carry the pack as high as possible. The two rear pockets are of a good useful size. I would have prefered the organizer pouches in the top, the bottom accepts a lightweight thermal smock. The lid pocket easily fits a basha/tarp kit or waterproof jacket. The two long deep side sleeves I find ideal for stuffing ready things, like a hammock. The side bottom pockets, although not designed for, can carry a canteen. A rubber band threaded through the MOLLE and around the spout keeps them secure. Along with the quick-access opening front, make this an unbeatable pack for me. The zips are so smooth in sliding, and the pull-tabs easy to catch even with gloves on. I have though sewn on another grab handle above the top rear pocket. This IS the rucksack I have been waiting years for.. and obviously strongly do recommend it.

Was a positive surprise when I started using the backpack. Very practical with the different opening options. Have full understanding that FAC has chosen this type of bag. Sincerely Stefan Nordström PS In addition, being well received by Varuste and a quick delivery does not make things worse. DS

The backpack worked really well. The backpack fits well with equipment and I personally like the pockets on the front of the backpack for small items. I chose this backpack instead of Halftrack partly because of the front pockets and because I didn’t feel the big pockets on the side were necessary. The open pockets on the sides are large enough to hold a walkstool, thermos (0.75l Thermos) or Jetboil zip. The backpack is comfortable to carry and can be well adjusted, even if you are wearing a plate carrier. The only consideration for those of you who are considering a backpack. If there is a lot of stuff in the backpack pockets then a little challenge to the backpack DG to get the stuff. The pockets "bulge" inwards and thus take up some space inside. I believe and trust that my backpack will serve for a long time in work use. I recommend!
