With one night’s sleep experience, nothing to blame. It was only a few degrees below zero, at some point the night was already hot. This sleeping bag has well-designed drawstrings, one of which can be tightened at the shoulders and the other gets the hood part tightened along the head, making thermal regulation easy. The cords can also be easily found inside the dark bag. I also liked the working zipper, didn't go between the fabrics once I tried. Packed in a handy size in its own dry bag. Winter then shows when there will be decent frosts whether the heat is enough. All in all, a very high-quality product oloinen, I am satisfied.

I tested last night on my back yard the Andes 1000 sleeping bag to make sure it can be relied on in cold conditions. The temperature in Helsinki was -14C and no or little wind. I have stored the sleeping bag in the large bag that comes with the product and opened the bag on the sleeping maddress 30min prior going to sleep. I had no tent etc, my plan was to just slept on the snowy terrain. I had thin technical clothing accompanied with two wool socks, wool sweater, two BUFF head covers. Unfortunately I had to come back indoors after 1,5hours, because the bag was chilly to stay in. I had the zipper cover on left side and the inside cover closed. The overall feel inside was comfortable, but it could not handle the -temperatures. I had the tightening part closed tightly to my neck and the head cover close to minimum. Naturally there was lots of condensated water around the face areas of the sleeping bag due to breathing. My upper body stayed at almost comfortable temperature but legs were shaking from cold. The cold did not feel coming from underneath but from the sides where the bag is pressed tight just before it continues underneath me. I do not recommend taking this sleeping bag to lower temperatures than -10C without good extra layers of clothing or additional inside sleeping bag liner. I guess the sleep limit describes the closest point of critical hypotermia danger if using this bag. The two stars come from the great overall feel to stay inside and use the functions and for bags ability to guite fast expand to the full thickness after being packed. A great spring/fall time lower temperature bag, but surely not for winter conditions if you are in the wild and have to rely on this when the worst happens and no fire can be used for more heat. I am 35yo and have roughly +250 nights outdoors nights experience mostly in Finnish outdoors.
