Being from Quebec Canada,i spend a lot of time hunting, trapping and ice fishing. Quality well made boots are hard to find. I had a pair of Nokian boots before and loved them, but now Nokian boots are not available anymore here. Varuste, was easy to deal with,i received my boots withing a week just before Christmas. I also got the Nokian Stud Kit. Easy install, but dont push too hard on tool, the stud will ten be too deep inside hole, making it useless on ice. Boots are heavy but comfortable.. Also got spare liners in the event i go through the ice. I recommend this model for ice fishermen ,hunters and trappers, they should last many years of abuse.

A chunky set of studs on the bottom of Nokia's rubber boot. So it contains a good number of spare pins, these tend to come loose. It was easy to shimmy into place with the tool when you followed the instructions and first put the slide in the hole and then shimmy behind the pin. They will keep you on your feet in the coming winter!

the big problem is the tool you come with, which is absolutely useless. If you have something, you should put it on youtube. Also, you put 70 studs in a bag, and it has 70 holes in the boots.... if you don't lose any studs with your crappy tool, I don't understand. You should not provide the tool and put 6-8 extra studs for the same cost. The best way I've found is to take a good pair of electrician's pliers, hold your very small nipple with the pliers, put a lot of liquid soap on each stud and push until you hear a small noise, which indicates that the big head of the studs has just passed through the small hole to lodge in its cavity. Otherwise, I love my boots with the studs.

Added the studs to help grip on rock - seems to work perfectly. Easy installed with the supplied key

My husband hoped these would work with his very old Nokian boots, but they don't. It says on the package to put in the studs before wearing your boots. Wish we knew that earlier.

Easy to install, do the job as intended. Thumbs up

A good set of suggestions, but remember to stud the Nokia people as new, I didn't do it myself and there were rocks (sanding trowel) in the holes of the pin and when I tried to dig out the rocks it took a long time and some of the holes broke, so I couldn't get a pin in every hole.

Strong studs. They weigh a lot for such a small item, so I'm guessing they may be made of tungsten. I'm giving 4-Stars rating because they take a lot of effort to insert into the 35 holes in each boot, and once they are in, I feel reluctant to remove them so that the boots can be used for occasions when studs aren't needed. If they were any less troublesome and messy (with the soap) to install and remove, it'd have been perfect!
Inferior product. A couple of light loops with the dog and more than half of the pins are on their way. Makes footwear more dangerous than without studs. This is because you rely on an incorrectly studded shoe and the studs are no longer in the grip area and the spontaneous spaghetti is complete.
