Too heavy to be a truly 'portable' tool.

The best multitool I ever used. A bit miss the spring loaded pliers

A high-quality multipurpose tool for hard use. I've gotten this into serviceable condition once when I used it to halo cracks. The maintenance went well. It is possible to carve wood and make quills, but if you don't have a good handle, your palm hurts. The device is quite heavy, and with it on a belt or in a pocket, it can quickly pull your pants up to your ankles. The spring part of the scissors is durable.

Fast and quality delivery. A really high-quality and well-thought-out tool, the blades are very sharp and reliable, there are no backlashes. I would only like more complete instructions for use.

If you want the ultimate full size multitool get the Surge. This is my opinion. Its heavy, but its worth it. The new carrying case is great. With bit kit I can handle all problems with all screws, bolts etc in gun range, during hike, car ride and so on.

Great tool. What I like are the pliers and the replaceable saw

Very good. For a lifetime. Feels slightly uncomfortable in the hand. Very good quality.

Very sturdy tools but you will need to do some lubrication before you can get it to operating smoothly.

Perfect tool for every occasion

The tool feels a bit stiff and could use some oil. There are some sharp edges that need a bit of 800 grit sandpaper. Opening the scissors requires some technique if you want to make the tool lock. At first I thought something was wrong. For the rest it is a beast of a multitool, feels sturdy in my hands. It's like a wave but bigger and beafier. I don't see myself carrying it on a belt as it's too heavy. It's more like a tool you keep in a tool box (does that make sense..?) or in a car.

Completely satisfied, it is a well built piece and all its utilities are well elaborated, above all the fact of being able to add saw blades from the bosch jigsaw, and apart from the kit-bits it supports all 1/4 "bits on the free market. I have added a ratchet for the bits, and I have changed to the molle XL case that can hold all the parts mentioned

gave one myself for several years; now reordered for my boys, because the quality convinced me - Leatherman Surge - a multitool to grab without having to worry that something will break, is just not a toy, almost without compromise
On the go you can not first choose from a complete repair shop, you need "one for all", cutting a Bowden cable is just as good as straightening something with pliers, loosening or tightening screws, sawing, filing, standard jigsaw blades fit into the saw holder the "Bosch recording", but these have a little more play, can be removed with cardboard in between; there are also sandpaper files for jigsaws; Commercially available standard bits fit into the bit extension, so that you can specialize your selection, the tool has hardly any tools that you can't use - I don't need the bottle opener, I'd rather have the big awl for that - the i-point would be an individually configurable multitool - but the question is whether it is realistically affordable

Quite heavy, but all in one

In this Leatherman you will find pretty much everything I want from a multifunction tool. High quality and strong construction and easy usability typical of Leatherman. Bad to say anything you would like otherwise. It is often heard that the Wave is easier to use due to its size, but the size difference is not so great that it would have a decisive effect, at least in the hands of an adult man, especially when better tools were included here.

These prospects so far have been good if not brilliant. Lots of blades. There was a bit of a used-looking bump / crack in the scissors' blades, that is, as if it had been used, but yes it cut them. That included nylon case should be a little bigger to make both tip sets fit. Only the other goes.

The very best construction of a multitool I've ever seen. The locks are great, the one hand functions come in very useful, the exchangeable blade also useful. I'm very happy with it.

A high quality multitool, that has some nice features. Everything works as intended and the build quality seems good. It is heavy though... keep that in mind if you wish to carry it 24/7 edit: Sadly after a first real-nature experience the blade locking mechanism gave up. The locking mechanism on any of the blades does not withstand medium load and pops out. Can be fixed though and be used on as a light usage tool.

Guaranteed Leatherman quality. In fact, the Surge is heavier than the former Wave which I managed to lose. The belt case was the latest model, and so far no bad things have been found in the case. The snap attachment is better than the old sticker attachment to the sticker if you got into a mosquito you stopped holding the flap properly. The Surge itself offers a high-quality mark and additional Plus on the interchangeable cutting blades. T-edged interchangeable saw blades are also the number one choice criteria for this model. Admittedly, the only downside comes from the fact that other brands of blades do not have a locking hole so there are "bumps" to use when moving while sawing. Of course, this can be avoided by drilling a hole in the blade. Otherwise, really happy with Surge, it really isn’t a toy but a full-fledged tool.

Full Leatherman quality. If there is a need for a bigger wave then this is the right choice. The saw can be changed to a file and vice versa. This certainly divides opinions, as the length of the blades is the same as for smaller Leathermans, even though it is a larger class of tool. In my opinion, however, this works. A sustainable and functional entity. A good help, for example, in the glove compartment of a car.

Guaranteed Leatherman goods with the right price / quality ratio when purchased from the offer. The previous Leatherman got dripped from the belt case that closes with Velcro, so this time I ended up with a leather snap case that probably holds the pliers for a long time. The old case now also serves as a storage location for the acquired BitKit.

A robust tool for installers and do-it-yourself builders. The quality of the parts is excellent, but in my own individual, the tightening of the screws was not in place and I had to tighten them myself. The commonly available jigsaw blades are suitable for this multifunction tool. Scissors are one of the best multi-tool tools here. The metal file is also excellent. Almost all parts in this tool are replaceable, at least wearable blade parts. Only one Phillips / screwdriver replacement blade included.

Really sturdy game. Old Wave lost so had to order a new one to replace. Delivery was really fast and the package came with a new naylon bag with a button lock, a bag that felt. The blade range should be for replacement blades more than a wood saw blade and the included file.
Senior surge 2012 model herself. Everything works as it should. Leatherman could produce diamond and hacksaws that would be the right length for the tool. Boch's blades have to be cut to fit. The best Leatherman models and leatherman paryaat products:) could be even bigger that would have a full size knife included
I got my surgery today. I am convinced!
Incredibly sturdy and high quality product. There really is no toy. And that weight on the belt doesn’t feel much.
The bigger size is just a plus compared to the wave - the scissors are bigger / better, the saw blade can be changed, etc.
I guess I would still use Wave with satisfaction if I hadn't lost it. Surge is Wave's big brother or dad.
