I have owned the same Kelly Kettle for at least 8 years. I bought it when I emigrated from England to Zambia and it has been a fantastic piece of camping equipment. Once you have boiled your water in the kettle and are waiting for the cup of tea to brew, the burning embers in the base of the kettle can then be tipped onto a pile of wood to start the evening fire; it works much better than newspaper! I would wholeheartedly recommend the product, both in terms of quality and practicality.
I used the large kettle on our Sahara trip 2 or 3 times every day to boil water for cooking and making soup, coffee and tea. It saved me in one month one bottle of 5 kg camping gas. I have tried all different materials to fire up the kettle including camel droppings! No problem at all. It is amazing to see how fast you can boil 1,5 litre water with just a little of wood and some camel dung.
