Quality boots with an aggressive tread, thinner in width, and sturdier more robust build feel compared to my Salomon Forces Quest 2 4D's. They have great ankle support for trails, and good foot stability with the insole. Though the insole is best suited to those with a low foot arch it feels. The only issue I've seen is they seem to be sized a bit oddly in U.S. I got 9.5 US because my 10.0 US Salomon's I've had for 8 years had a bit too much room in the toe box. But these 9.5 Lowa's have the same exact inner toe box size as my 10.0's and aren't smaller.
