Probably okay, but we didn't use it because we found purifying the water with Katadyn's Steripen Ultra to be a more effective solution. Steripen ultra also kills viruses (e.g. noro) and BeFree only kills bacteria. Steripen is also easier to use to clean the waters of several people.

Tested on a weekend trip. Good first impression. Light, easy to use and good flow. A loose bag is handy when it doesn't take up much space when empty. The device requires careful use and maintenance in order for it to have a long life. Time will tell what the performance will be in the long run.
