Awesome, sock-like fit but still feel remarkably supportive. Great grip (so far used on packed and loose gravel, mud, tussock grass, and slate rock). Also very lightweight and awesome feel for the ground underfoot. Main negatives are that they are somewhat fiddly to get on and that I have to have the quicklace system quite loose otherwise I feel a pinch across the front of my ankle.

I have narrow feet and often find it difficult to find suitable running shoes. However, this model fits like a glove. And what I also really like is that I don't get any stones or twigs in my shoes. The “sock closure” works perfectly! So far I have only used the shoes on (partly slippery and frozen) sand and they had a lot of grip and pleasantly sufficient cushioning on the harder surface. And I also like the look of the shoes.

Top shoes used for Spartan Ultra (30+ miles, 60 obstacles). While not really broken in, it still feels like a comfortable and reasonably stable shoe with more than enough traction! No blisters, feel very light, but a bit less 'bullet-proof' than the Speedcross, which I will definitely use for shorter distances.

Normally, this model should keep the positive points of the old model, hoping that the sole wears out less quickly. On the other hand, a buckle is still missing at the back to make it easier to slide the heel inside (like on the "Genesis" model)

A little tight around the midfoot initially but the matryx upper material is forgiving so I'm hopeful it will eventually break in nicely!

A very light ultra trail running shoe. The sock model of the shoe ensures that no stones or debris get inside the shoe. The straps are easy and quick to use and have a small pocket so they don't hang loose. It would be great if the shoe still had a Gore-tex surface, but you can't find it. Of course, now the foot breathes really well.

Seems to be the only trail shoe that works for my feet, light, fitting, natural. The sock on the stem slightly compresses the bud like this, but still did not leave a mark on the skin. The sock of the shoe did not prevent small stones from entering the sock, unlike I would have expected.

Very well fitting shoe. A well-designed tongue that does not allow debris to enter the shoe. The size is a little smaller than other Salomon shoes.
