Almost always the choice of a Meikä resident for ski hikes. These can be used both in severe frosts and in the wet conditions of late spring. The problem is just durability: usually after a few years of use, hairline breaks start to appear at the bending point of the head, and they then expand from there.

Nokia's boots. There's no need for praise. But I personally noticed a really good feature of the cabin when the first two days the floors are still cold. When you come inside, take off your boots and keep the felt liners on. They are comfortable to walk in indoors and if they are damp with sweat, they dry at the same time. They're also absolutely delicious without a mountain, when you have to go to the puucee and your foot slips effortlessly into them. However, all other partygoers use them for that purpose.

Firm and very wide elastic. The tightening arm is very high, reaching up to the upper part of the calf. Still, thanks to the flexible sole, walking is natural and you don't have to take a duck-like step. Due to my wide and chesty feet, I bought a size larger than my usual shoes just to be sure. The size selection was spot on. The felt lining is warm and easy to pull on with the front slit. With a felt lining, putting your foot in a rubber boot requires mediation. The blanket will mold over time to fit. I recommend getting a replacement felt lining at the same time, so if the felt gets wet, a dry replacement pair is available. I recommend.

After a delay of two weeks, I finally got to work with these. They work well in a tee pass at 10 degrees below zero when the toes are warm, even though otherwise it's already starting to freeze. As socks, I had thick merino wool undersocks and over them woolen socks hand-knitted from 100& wool yarn, model year around 95. The only minus seems to be that the last is a little thin for me.
It is also noticeable that, compared to the first try, the shoe has one wool sock more space due to the adaptation of the felt.

My favorite winter boot! Although I didn't realise this one had a removable liner, which isn't perfect according to me.

Perfect boots. Very soft outer material. Wide inside. Very long, at the same time still very comfortable. My usual size is 43, so I chose also 43 boots, with additional thick sock it will be perfect for winter. Who prefers to have exact size, or tighter fit, I would recommend one size down. Very soft inner sock. Expecting to last 10 years 🙂, last Nokian ones lasted long years.

Very comfortable rubber boots. I'm also quite happy with the felt inside - hey keep the feet warm and comfortable and get dry quite fast. Have used the boots in winter and autumn time. In autumn they might feel to warm when you walk long distances.

The size is a little smaller than expected. Should buy 1 size bigger.

Product up to standard, I had a pair of Nokian boots for 27 years and lost them in a fire. I’m happy with these as a replacement, they look as good as my previous pair.

The inner shoe is a bit redesigned since my previous Nokia boots and is now split in front of the narrow leg. Experiences that the inner shoe is a little tighter than the previous model, but after wearing the shoe a few times, it has formed and fits very well on the foot, even though it is a loose inner shoe.
A Nokia boot, quite simply.
Very pleased.

I absolutely love these boots! Unfortunately, they're too big, so I will have to return them. I will definitely be re-ordered a smaller size. I'm not all that familiar with European sizing...or how these are made. FYI-They run a little large. Update...it turns out it will cost between $125.00 & 380.00 to ship these boots back to Finland. Absolutely crazy shipping costs!! Wish I had know that before buying them because I would not have taken a chance on the sizing.

Basic boot for bundles and winter trips. Keeps snow and moisture well outside. Compared to previous Kaira boots, the material has been thinned and is surprisingly soft and flexible - you can see if the boots last as long as before. The felt lining of the drills is nowadays sewn sparingly so that a thick, longitudinal seam runs vertically over the sole of the foot. The seam could have been made flat as in the old felt model, so the foot would not be rubbed.

Good winter rubber boots for wilderness and hiking use. The felt lining has a reinforcement on the inside of the heel and a handy drawstring at the top. The soles of the boots have ready-made places for studs and the boots fit the ties of the wilderness. I recommend this price!
Overall rating |
These Kaira boots are second to me, the first ones lasted less than ten years, if I compare these new to old ones the felt lining is a bit thinner but does not affect the warmth in any way. The rubber also looks a little thinner and is somewhat more flexible at least when skiing on some skis, and I think it fits better in the bandage than the old boot. The only downside comes from the split front edge of the felt lining, because when you take the boot off your foot, the felt lining usually comes along. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the purchase, I recommend.

Sole slightly loose for skiing; in which case the band of the bandage, when too tight, may twist the bottom of the boot onto the hump. Be sure to dry the felt slippers. In less than a year of use, the seam made by the factory opened, and the boot began to leak (in the middle of the wilderness, of course).

Fast and safe delivery, the Nokian Kaira boots are after a first three-day stay in the top bird forest - very good! They are excellent for Tegsnäs skis. Warm, likes the removable felt lining, which simplifies putting on and taking off - but also makes it easy to dry in the event of moisture. Buy a size larger for the possibility of a thicker sock if you want it extra warm, I did.

I normally have size 10 on my running shoes and other shoes. I ordered size 43 and I can fit with 2 socks, one thinner and one a little thicker.
The only thing I can notice is that the inner shoe is a bit tight just above the ankle, once you have been able to get the foot down it fits well. Have used the boot down to -15 degrees and there are no problems. Very satisfied so far.

I've used Kaira more as ten years. Can't say much about last pair boots as used only one day, but noticed that felt lining included to the boots has been diminished its quality in time. There is used sewing thread much less durable as years ago as well as sewing quality is bad. Some holes since beginning probably. The same problem noticed in the other ordinary shop where stopped buying therefore. Hoped for better quality in varuste.net, but seems the problem is more in Nokia. Though re-sellers should check goods sold, not trust old good trade marks simply so. Those can change in commercial pressure around for short time use of products. Can suggest fixing of sewing with stretchy ribbon, because that part has been always first to broke in Kaira boots. Even when there was used durable thread formerly.

Third pair of boots I’ve purchased for my husband. He loves them and where’s them year round! We live in Canada and the temperatures are -30C. These are perfect for winters!

I needed shoes for the forest skis, and I ended up with these. I am very satisfied. The inner blanket is warm and comfortable on the foot. The shoe fits well in army ties, stays well and the shoe doesn’t come off even in awkward terrain. Feel supportive. I hope they last, after a few times I still can't say anything about it. But the previous Nokia people are still strong, and they are over 20 years old, so I guess these won’t last a few years either. I usually buy size 40/41 shoes (foot length 25 cm), and size 40 is good. There is room for a thick wool sock, maybe for another. So big size. I would probably go to 39 as well, but I like that there should be room in the winter shoes.

After a long deliberation, I ended up with the Kaira boot and it seems like just the right product for my own use. Works great with forest skis when moving. The normal size fit well and I think is a suitable loose wool sock.
Durability has been criticized, but time will tell how durable. It looks and feels like a quality product anyway.

By the way, Nokia's boots material developed quite wildly since the parikytä years ago last such I have skied in the army and plowed. At least these Drills are a really light and flexible material. It seems to work well when skiing, and anyway when skiing. The sizes are big, so you don't have to buy one number bigger if you still want to get between the wool socks. Loose felt also seems to be of very high quality. The "looseness" of the boot initially thought a little about what skiing feels like at the ankles, for example, when there is no support. Well, then, the matter has not even come to mind when you close the box. 5/5

High quality boots for winter use. Stems long enough with the possibility of tightening. Suitable for forest skis and stay well tied. The removable felt lining is convenient, hopefully also durable. Of course, they can be purchased separately. The size is fair, as in previous Nokia boots. I recommend!

Great winter boots. Used them in -23 c for several hours, with warm feets all the time. Comfortable for walking. I am normally using size 43 and those boots fits well in size 43. Space for a sole inside the linings and two pair of socks (one thin and one medium thick).

My arch is high in type. The loose felt lining may therefore be harder to get on. When the shaft of the boot is perhaps a little narrower and softer than my previous similar boot, putting it on your foot takes time and needs to be done while sitting. The boot on the foot works well.

the side seams start to open pretty quickly (from that thigh toe at the rearmost joint), which doesn’t really hurt to use because they’re just reinforcement. BUT: It took a month before the border of thicker and thinner rubber above the side seams failed and it became a 3-cent hole. In the other shoe, it took a year for a similar "incision" to come. One year warranty expired, so now I have to think about whether I spend my money on seat sets or whether I’m looking for better shoes somewhere. Oh, and the seams of the inner blankets start to open after a hundred or two kilometers, but they have both stayed together. That sheer cosmetic disadvantage.

Good boot for ice fishing trips, although a bit heavy. As a small foot, a size suitable for me was found through you, but the removable felt lining is again so small and narrow that it does not fit on the foot. Whose foot it is made to fit. It’s annoying that the felt lining is of no use and I have to put on many wool socks instead and that’s not the same thing. My shoe number is 36.

Warm enough for winter conditions in the cottage. I have kept -15 degrees frost limit because I can ski Cairo has 3 km. The distance from the beach to the island. With these frosts, the cold has not come. The boots are used for all work throughout the day. I still use a thick loose insole in the boots and I put the inner felt, the insole and the boots to dry all night long. In the morning they are again nice dry and warm for day use. The drills are not light.

Comfortable to wear. I would improve the product by putting a "ring" on the heel side of the felt lining to pull the mountains to the foot or take them off the boot. This would also make it easier to dry the felt lining by hanging. The seam of my own boots started to fail after a little use and I returned the product to circulation.

I made those boots sometime in 1990-1995, I don’t remember where. The last 20 years have been but every year on August 20 in use.
On the campfire everyone else kicks the boots from the foot to ventilate, I do not need, just a wool sock on the foot and this boot + of course the inner felt.
Great product.
Good boots.
I put on bare wool socks, and then jumpsuits and no gums on my feet, "like a glove" :)
Now then I feel at home with partners on my feet :)
You should immediately put that rubber care product as new, maybe even pins if you need to.
Good shopping, protects your toes from bumps in rhizomes and rocks a little better than basic Conti.
Nokia ski boots do absolutely nothing. A complete scam for the entire boot industry.
Decompose within 2-3 years almost by themselves.
Even now is the third winter in use and the self-tearing and seams open, the snow melts in from the tearing places. And the boots have only been used for skiing from midwinter to spring. Summers in stock in the dark.
Before (in the -90s still), real ski boots without any felt slippers lasted at least 10 years and didn’t tear even then.
How does the boot company respond to its product to the customer? By comparison, I have boots on Viking rubber bits that have been in almost daily use all year round for almost 30 years through the winters. Worn are and in one place in both. Last week ago, with those Vikings, I stood up to my ankles in the rag for another hour and didn’t get a drop of water inside my shoes.
And these 2-year-old Nokia ones don't keep their socks dry even on frosty skis.
