Thermal sight (IR sight) works better than night sights based on light amplifiers: It sees through fog and rain clearly better than other night sights, on the other hand, it also works in complete darkness. The TE19's resolution and sensitivity are quite sufficient for hunting, where the target is in any case quite close (less than 100m). For example, the resulting image of a deer differs slightly from what you are used to, so it is worth practicing before the actual use. It is worth noting that for some reason the thread of the attachment is inch UNC 1/4-20, so metric screws (M6) cannot be used to attach the sight - Of course, the rails made for this specific HikMicro sight have the correct UNC screws included. The thermal sight eats up the batteries very quickly, and they (2 pcs CR123A) are not very cheap, so I recommend getting rechargeable batteries, e.g. 2+2 pcs RCR123A allows approx. 4+4 hours of use.
