I was comparing the 7S and the Epix 2. I ended up with the 7S because I believe that in the long run I value good battery life more than the screen, and the Epix 2 felt quite clunky in the hand. The product otherwise meets expectations, but the compass has been a big disappointment. It requires calibration before each use, i.e. many times a day, and you can't always trust the direction anyway. My friend's Fenix 6 didn't have a similar problem. I don't know if it's a faulty device or if the compass is really that bad. (I have contacted Varuste.net customer support, but I have not yet received an answer).
