I took a chance with the lamp as I know it is a mostly Chinese diving lamp and they can vary in quality. But shark dive gear is a Swedish company that imports the parts and assembles and runs QA in Gothenburg, so I thought it could be good. I love the lamp. The cable is thick enough to handle easily with dry gloves, the screw that locks the magnetic ring that activates the lamp is easy to handle and the light is outstanding. 6 degree light angle basically means a completely straight beam. The first dive we had a maximum visibility of 5 meters and almost lost each other, but artemis at maximum and they had no problem finding me. In better conditions, I never drive at max. The lowest is good enough in many of the cases and it means between 15-20h burning time. The handle is good. It could have been a bit longer so it came completely past the lamp head but it's ok. Otherwise it is very comfortable. As a Swede, I am impressed by the customer service of Finnish companies. Shipping here was fast and I was well informed the whole way. I will buy more Shark products and more from Varuste.
