This Benchmade Bugout is a real beauty. Perfectly centered and drop shut. I would have rated it 5 stars if it hadn’t been really dull out of the box. It needed some time on the worksharp to deserve the pocket time it is now getting.

I love the design. As soon as it came out I knew I would fall for it. Darker aluminum in real life than in the photo (probably the lighting) but this premium version enhances this Bugout by erasing the lack of flexibility of the handles in particular. I adore !

If you had to pick just one Benchmade, this would be it. All right. The aluminum handle is really sturdy, yet light, and the m390 steel stays sharp for a long time.

Expensive, but what you get in return is a very well designed, high quality folding knife. The milled aluminum handles look and feel great. In real life the aluminum is a bit darker than on the pictures and has a very nice stonewash finish. The milling looks amazing, if you look closely each of the milled lines has a tiny ribbed look to it, it looks very cool. The blade came perfectly centered out of the box and action is good as well. Lockup is solid, there is no blade play in any direction. This is a great luxury iteration of the bugout, and I would choose this over the grivory scales at any moment. The only con I have is one which holds true for all my Benchmade knives, and that is that the factory edge is horrible.

I have to say that even the Benchmade knife is excellent. The opening mechanism of the knife is thus excellent when tested from 200+ folding knives and the blade is brilliantly centered. It is expensive but worth every euro if you value a good knife for hard use.
