Works well as long as you don’t press the pole down in the snow to hard if you do it slips. (If you balance, leaning on one pole). I tend not to use the handle so much when trekking not sure why. Usually hold a bit lower or having the hand completely on top of the pole. It’s easy to adjust and use. Broke a pole that got stuck in a branch nothing that’s not expected

You have to press the plastic carrots really hard to get them to stick to the sticks. There is no clear mention of this in the instructions, which is a shortcoming in the product. After the "installation" is done, the rods work well for their intended purpose, plus the stepless length adjustment.

Great quality. 'Flick' adjustment catches much easier to use in gloves/mittens than other systems. Snow baskets a bit difficult to fit, but ok once on (on the small side but ok)

Easily adjustable rods and sturdy as long as they happen to last. Unfortunately, mine bent into a bend the first time I used it while using snowshoes, when due to swaying I had to reserve almost all of my weight momentarily on the other pole. Maybe a light skier won't have similar problems, but unfortunately, based on my own experience, I can't recommend these for a medium-sized male skier.

A rather mediocre product, too small a sompa, with an exotic attachment. You have to know the right measurement yourself, because the expert ordered me too short.

Somma's installation instructions were missing. Sompa is really tight to pass through the threaded part of the rod. I found some tips online: Pipe lube or other lubricant on the rod and heating the somma with a hair dryer and moderate force so that the somma slips into its right position. Sompa should be a little bigger in freezing snow. The length adjustment of the rods is good and the rods fit well in the hand.

The fastening of the group of rods is a pressed screw made of plastic. The group of the second rod could not be attached because the threads on the group side were missing. Currently attached with a bay window. Otherwise they work.

Telescopic poles are very good for use with sliding snowshoes, because the thickness and load capacity of the snow varies. Our equipment is also used by several people, in which case it may be necessary to adjust the length of the poles.

Fastening the straps behind the work and pain. The first pair broke after a couple of days of use (the second rod broke when leaning), was extended to the maximum, which made it feel much easier. Another pair now in the test, otherwise a good rod, but the durability is questionable for now.

The poles feel sturdy and the attachment mechanism works well based on the first ski. A big minus is the fastening of the sompi. The rod has threads, but the somma does not, so the somma has to be forced past the threads or they will remain on the rod really loosely and come off easily.

Good and easily adjustable poles, for example, for sliding snowshoeing! - easy to adjust the length according to the embedding of the snow, it can also be shortened to the minimum length for transport - good wrist strap, easy to put on and take off, e.g. if you use the camera occasionally

Sturdy rods that hold the lock. The straps of the stick should support the hand better. The fastening of the straps is a bit miraculous, because there is no way to thread a strap that is tight enough. The sompa is quite small, but its design is suitable for very challenging terrain, because the edges of the sompa bite even in quite hard snow. In soft snow, you would need a bigger boot. Used with snowshoes.

A simple, sturdy, adjustable skipole. A nice grip, easy to adjust length, the lock seems strong. The straps are very comfortable, and adjust to your wrists with a velcro tab, there is no other strap-height adjustment. I bought these for my better half,in the 95-145cm size, she is 168 cm tall, she likes them very much, for BC Nordic skiing. I like them too, and they work well for me, but, of course, I would never steal them from her, I guess I'll just stay with my old bamboo sticks, I wonder if she would notice, if I swapped them? Oh well. Thank you Black Diamond for reliable, quality products. Thanks to the wonderpeople at Varuste.
