Soft and comfortable boots

I'm on my third pair in 5 years. Lots of hiking in all weather. These Salomons are real slippers. Perfect product. The price of these shoes is justified.

Great shoes. The seams were a little tight at first, but they adjusted to the foot after a couple of miles. Narrow last that fits me well.

Improvements made from the previous model. Let's hope it lasts. The previous ones fell apart at the bottom after 3 years. Scratches. Spots on the bottom of the shoe and the connection point of the sole on the outer tip of the foot.

Fulfilled expectations. I have (intensively) used Salomon boots for last 2 decades. This model fits a bit bigger than my 3-4 previous ones; but still I took 49 1/3 size, while I usually wear 47 or max 48 on ordinary shoes.

After one hike and a couple of practice runs, they seem like good shoes. I haven't been able to try it in the wet yet. In the beginning, on the right leg, one Tape fastener put quite a lot of pressure on the footplate, but it made it easier to use. By the way, it took some getting used to before they started to fit, but now they are comfortable and very sturdy shoes.

Very pleasant shoes, already my second pair of shoes of this type because they fit so well.

Superb boots, extremely comfortable and lighter than they look. They've taken a beating going up and down scree slopes, through rivers, mud, the lot. Combined with semi-rigid crampons (Grivel G-10) I've found they're amply warm and stiff for low-grade mountaineering, might not cut it for ice climbing or front-pointing steep neve but I've comfortably been up to ~2500m on some pretty steep non-technical slopes on cold days with them. Only real downside is that they are probably overly warm for hot and dry conditions.

A really good feeling shoe, but the last was too wide for my super narrow and long foot, so I had to return it. So I didn't get to test it in the field. Otherwise, it seemed good, stiff sole and stability in the ankle, wide outer sole and coarse pattern. The straps are too stiff, I would probably have changed them if they had remained in use. The tightening lock of the straps is good, you can tighten the foot together with the stem separately, the tightening is only to your liking and not too much on the side of the stem, I'm used to the strap lock already right at the foot table. Of course, it can be good. But if my desperate search for a really narrow elastic hiking shoe doesn't yield results, I'll probably have to order this shoe again from somewhere, maybe.

My last pair of these lasted years and that's saying something as I've done 80 days alone in Fiordland NZ in the last year as a volunteer trapper. Super comfortable and durable, a few hours walking and they're ready. Yep they're a bit heavier than some models but its what I need for the 7 days trips I do. All boots fill with water in Fiordland- gortex isn't much use when the water is thigh deep for hundreds of metres - but they're tough enough to last the abuse.

The stems support the ankles well and otherwise feel good on the feet. The pattern is functional even on a bad surface. The quick-locking of the straps in the middle is an absolutely brilliant invention.
