I bought the XA Forces shoes because I used up three pairs of Salomon's mid-calf XA PRO 3D shoes. These new ones fit my foot really well and are also light. The shoe looks pretty much the same as the XA PRO 3D model, the shaft is just higher. The high stem seems suitably sturdy. The size has been 42 2/3 in the old ones and I took the 43 1/3 size from these, because these are meant to be used as hiking shoes and the old ones felt too tight on longer hikes. Hopefully the Gore-tex membrane is more durable in these, as in all my previous shoes the membrane has started to let water through in demanding conditions over time. Time will tell when you can go on a proper hike with shoes.

I was looking for shoes for year-round use.
The criteria are waterproofness and a comfortable fit even on longer trips.
In use: 1.3 years
Purpose: camping, hiking, hunting, tactical exercises, shooting.
Pros: Extremely comfortable on the feet. It easily takes twenty hours, and you practically don't feel the shoes on.
A firm base. Positively surprised with both slippery stones, wet and freezing weather. The shaft is grippy, sock-like and if you don't need more support for your ankle, this is a pleasant option. In addition, the shoes are narrow in design, the lace system works smoothly and the lace pocket on the front flap is a sweet addition, and still works flawlessly after more than a year of use. I have used the shoes for +20 in the summer and -25 in the winter.
With a light hiking sock, you can handle even the hardest frosts.
Fits well at least in Stumpy and OAC snowshoes.
After more than a year of active use, there are hardly any mechanical signs of use.
Cons:
Waterproof. During a five-day hunting trip in Tuntsa, water went through my shoe. At that time, the shoes had been used for 1.3 years.
The shoes had not been treated in any way. I complained about it to Varuste.net and in about a week I had new, similar shoes in use.
The complaint process was handled appropriately.
I didn't want to exchange the shoes for others, because according to the seller, the deviation was not common, and I was really satisfied with the product in other respects.
Hopefully the current pair will keep the water out longer.
I can recommend. The recommended size is a little bigger than the general shoe size. I have other shoes 43, and I chose the size 43 1/3.

Now I managed to find excellent off-road shoes with good grip on the soles (note that they are not studded shoes). Quite narrow and snug fitting and therefore supportive. Still, you can drive a car with these. Salomon's sizes are different from those of Jalas and Sievi, for example: instead of 43, I took size 45. The stem is high enough that snow does not get in with the M05 outdoor pants. I haven't been in wet conditions yet, so I can't judge the water resistance.

First trip with shoes on. 5 days in the wilderness, including two light rainy days. The terrain was dear, path, some swamp. The shoes were good for walking and the feet stayed dry from the water. Some time ago, real durability was shown, but the positive attitude was left behind.

No stars, because the Goretex membrane of the first pair let water through already when new. Let's see how the membrane works in the second pair. Otherwise, the shoe is excellent in its lightness and fit. In everyday use, the high shaft prevents snow from entering the shoe, e.g. in an unplowed parking lot.

The boots look very good, really. So far I have only used them for a couple of weeks but they are more comfortable and weigh less than I expected. At first they bothered me a bit in the ankle but with use it softens and adapts, and the discomfort disappears. They are also less cool than I expected, but hey, they can be endured and I don't consider it a failure of the boot because nowhere does it say that they are for summer. The truth is that for now I'm happy, we'll see how they hold up over time.

The shoes are really light, so it almost feels like you're flying forward. The shoes fit well on the foot, and the long shaft of the shoe supports the foot well.
The downside is that the shoe wears out really quickly. Even after little use, pieces have started to come off the bottom of the shoe, and the Gore-Tex surface is no longer as water-resistant.

Love them. Great support for ankle. Absolutely watertight. But these are not shoes to have to put on and take off on short trips.

Sturdy and light shoes. A day outside from morning to evening, the shoes are mostly snowy all the time and it's 2-7c below zero, just wearing normal socks was enough and the socks stayed dry. A few hours on the shooting range in the mud, where I still try to stay in the puddles as much as possible. The sock on the other foot started to get a little wet due to the fact that the puddle I stepped in would have required a rubber boot;) you are a bit slippery in the snow.

An amazing pair of boots the only downfall after miles the sole on the left boot seems to be coming apart at the edges

The boots are excellent in their quality of materials, they are light and give a feeling of robustness when putting them on. One drawback is that the last is a bit narrow for my foot and it squeezes me a little on the sides. To better accommodate them I have removed the laces from both boots and I have put them on without them and then adjust the laces depending on the morphology of my feet. each foot. I recommend using them at home for a few hours on several consecutive days before using them in the field.

Excellent quality boots! Might be too hot to wear during the summer.

An excellent goretex shoe with a long shaft. It goes from camping to hiking and even in everyday use. Keeps the socks dry and they are almost like running shoes for movement. The nobility of the marching shoes. A small minus and a drop of one star due to the slippery straps, which want to open quite easily by themselves. Otherwise, five stars would have been removed.

Shoes that fit my feet very well - first hard use for about 5 long weekends, then after about 20 km of continuous marching, no blisters. A small minus is the difficult tightening of the straps compared to the lower mid model, which I also have. The last feels a little wider than in the mid model. Likewise, the last of these EN-protected models feels wider compared to the mid-model I previously purchased without nail-snapping protection.

They seem stable and good. I feel like I have to get used to the high shaft, but it doesn't feel like you're wearing boots... I like that they're high and that therefore a lot of "shit" doesn't get into the boot when you're actively moving in the forest. Have driven a lot with the other models as well which I love. Excited to see how long the gore-tex lasts on these.

The first runs have been walked, a couple of well over ten trips. They immediately sat well on the foot. The sole is a bit narrow, but identical in size to, for example, Spikecross, which I ordered based on. Pronation on the feet, but these feel very supportive. The bottom is stiff at first, but I believe that these will become long-lived friends.

Size recommendations (table included into the product description) doesn't fit reality, shoes were too large (½ size). Needed to order smaller ones. Meanwhile, the quality of the shoes is perfect.

Very good shoes for int, beats the company's maihars in everything. It's very convenient to run and run in these, and every time I go on vacation, I put on the company's ready-to-wear clean and wired wellies. That's where you can best see the difference. I can recommend it to everyone in India, especially if their feet suffer at all. And why wouldn't they also be good for leisure activities. I myself don't have that much experience with it yet

The shoes corresponded well to their size and the fit was similar to that of running shoes of the same brand, no need for "breaking in", they were a direct fit. Ankle boots are quite light in weight, but still sturdy. A plus is the small pocket in the flap, where you can conveniently hide the strings after tying. They hold water well, at least in normal rainstorms, I haven't jumped into ditches and puddles with them yet. Based on a few months of user experience, I would also recommend it to others.

The boots are a pass. Comfortable, warm, they fit perfectly and the price is unbeatable (it is the website where they were cheaper). Regarding the delivery; very fast, the service of 10! For whom it may serve, I took a 39 1/3 (I normally wear 39) and they fit me perfectly. My husband wears a 42 and it was the size he asked for, also perfect. Shipping costs were minimal, €6. Totally recommendable to buy on this website, quality products at a good price.

Excellent tactical footwear for the track, forest and street. The feet stay warm in all conditions by adjusting the socks. Really good on foot. Good grip, but of course not on the mirror ice.
After a few walks, they formed perfectly on their feet. I haven’t been able to test the water resistance yet, but it works great in mixed winter conditions.
Overall rating |
The shoes are good for a month of testing, but not perfect. Advantages include the stiffness of the upper and the sole, the relatively high upper, the lightness of the shoes and the fact that they work in all kinds of activities. All in all, very good shoes for many purposes. Lesti is not hugely spacious, which is worth keeping in mind. At least the shoes themselves didn't require a big run-in.
Bad shoes have laces, tightening them is sometimes painful, are very slippery. The shoes I couldn’t actually say warm, so if you have freezing feet then I recommend for winter use. If you want to get a villa stock, you should take a fair size. The stem is not up to waterproof, but the last more than 5cm from the front flap is open, so the height of the stem is a bit confusing. The sole is not very firm in winter, but they do well. The finish, I don’t think, is above the level of the Haixi when you look closely, but if the shoes last, it doesn’t matter.
Those when you keep in mind such good all-purpose shoes.

Very narrow boot. I have a Salomon X Ultra 4 GTX (non-wide!) that are perfect for my feet. I got the XA Forces in the same size and they are very tight on the sides. Very strange.
