This is an amazing jacket. I regularly am in below 0°F with winds up to 50mph. This jacket cuts the wind, the collar is wide so it actually fits around your neck and chin when zipped all the up. Extremely warm jacket with well places pit zips for ventilation when active. I have a 44in chest and purchased a large. Fits perfectly with the ability to wear some layers underneath. Jacket seems to be built of strong materials. My only complaint is the front zipper. It's a little bit small, but it still works great. Wish they would have used a #8 zipper instead of a #5. Overall, would absolutely purchase again.

Top Carinthia quality, in a league of its own. Quite expensive for that. The only real point of criticism is the zipper. Doesn't work perfectly and is fiddly. Let's see how long it lasts. Otherwise, Carinthia is really impressive. Fit, functionality and workmanship are absolutely top notch!

There haven't been any frosts yet, but the jacket has been worn at sea and in one of the training sessions over the weekend as a break jacket. The jacket keeps wind and water reasonably well. The collar comes up high enough and the hood can be adjusted excellently, even out of the way when you don't wear it on your head. I compare this to Leka's frost jacket and the durability of the outer fabric is in a class of its own. Resists sparks and wear on a completely different level than a comparable jacket. For the gusset work, you still need to use a seamstress to get the velcro soles in the right places, but otherwise I think it will pass through the "major sieve". The downside is of course the price, but I'm happy to pay for the quality. I purposely took one size bigger, so that you can put enough layers underneath, but with adjustments you can make the jacket fit well even when loose. I myself have experience with several Carinthia jacket models and the quality has remained high and the details are thoughtful and functional.

The jacket is very good. The only downside is the non-detachable hood. For such a high-priced product, I would have expected the hood to be removable, or at least rolled up.

I'm excited about the MIG. The outer material is reinforced in contrast to the normal MIG. This makes them more robust for outdoor use. Processing excellent. I thought long and hard about getting the M05 winter version - now I'm glad I did. A great camo. Here in Germany the pattern is something special. Haven't seen it here before. What can I say; would buy them again.

Shipping was fast as heck (I live in a remote arctic community where there’s no roads). Upon receiving the jacket, I noticed the packaging was well made. Like others said the jacket is quite noisy when it is brand new but after one week of having it, the noise diminished to a more reasonable level and probably will further decrease. The details on this piece of equipment are just astonishing, like it is one of the most well-made things I ever wore and I will for sure buy more from that company because I like their technical approach to design, you can see it is not only mqde for looking good. The zipper, even though it is YKK, is kind of finicky sometimes but managable. I love the M05 pattern, I thought it would be too flashy but it is just perfect. For the temperature rating, I think I got a bit cold with just a T-shirt under it but with a second layer it is quite warm for lower-Arctic October. I don’t want to say that this jacket is cold but in october most people here already wear -30c jackets so I think it is fair to say that the MIG 4.0 is a good insulation garment. I am looking forward to use it almost all year long. Thank you Viranomainen for your great service !

Best cold weather coat I've ever owned. The price reflects the quality. Wife borrows it all the time to walk the dogs. She's getting her own this winter. Sizing: I'm 6' 210lbs. Jacket is a 42 long. The large size fits perfectly. Completely wind resistant and water repellant. Regarding the other reviews mentioning the "crinkling" noise while moving, the jacket makes some noise. I wouldn't want to stalk while hunting with it. The only real criticism I have is with the main double zipper. It sticks and is a pain in the ass. At some point it's going to fail.

as with all carinthia products : 10/10 the fabric is heavier as on your standard MIG, making it even more solid ! the exclusive camo makes heads turn.

Best jacket for winter. Here in switzerland we have warm jackets, but i like the finnish ones better.

Very good jacket, some improvements over the MIG 3.0. The collar is great, zippers run better because of design change (no rubber coated zippers anymore). But material is louder, not sure if this because of the heavier material of the camo edition. But I consider the material as more robust compared to standard MIG 3.0. If you are not hunting game or humans, the jacket is for you. Camo looks good under passive NV, but under Infrared light it is getting very white (looks like snow camo with some light grey spots)

Excellent winter jacket, top quality,

It would be a perfect jacket if there weren't two issues. The material is as crispy as a plastic bag, and makes a lot of noise. That is a really bad feature. (UPD. After some wear noise reduced to OK level) On the end of the sleeve there is a short seam about 3cm long, making a fold about 1mm height that does no other business than rubbing your wrist. All the other aspects - great jacket

A really cool jacket! On the weekend I spent a couple of hours through the terrain in snow, wind and minus 11 degrees - the jacket keeps you warm and fully serves its purpose - but in my opinion it is nothing for the average European winter. That's why I'll probably get a LIG. Fit is absolutely accurate. I can warmly recommend the jacket to anyone who is in the double-digit minus range on the thermometer.

The jacket is well cut and all the details have been thought through. The surface fabric keeps the wind well and water in moderation. However, the surface fabric is quite loud, ie it must be taken into account in use.

A rare good winter jacket - the best M05 pattern I've come across. Cf. e.g. to gonarotsi, here we take at least 6-0. Warm in freezing weather, works even in the sleet weather where many other winter clothes don't — doesn't wick, keeps warm and blocks even the freezing sea breeze. Packs up commendably small for use as a break jacket. In use, the cut is very good, notice that this is made for movement, and even so well that it does not hinder the movement of the shoulders and arms, even with a chest or PC. The large breast pockets are really good and roomy when worn as just a jacket. The sleeve pockets are a pretty basic set, on the left there is also a pen holder, the functionality of which is a bit so-so. Overall, a cold weather jacket that works so well that, despite the pattern, you can rely on this when the weather is bad, even in civilian clothes. The minus is the disturbing "papery" surface feel (film), due to which the jacket is rarely rustling. Of course, this is more of a problem in your own ear than, for example, in the forest, but this is not a bowhunter-level silence.

Hey everyone The best outdoor jacket. Keeps you warm, is robust, weighs nothing and looks good in M05 Winter. Outer material more stable than its sisters. YKK front zip. It is also better than its civilian sister. Kudos to Finland for your fast and friendly service!
