I've been using multiple Salomon shoes and was looking for a replacement for my old X Ultra 3 GTX and found the Outline GTX which fulfilled the criteria and with even better build quality. Many have complained about the normal version being too narrow so I went with the Wide model which fits really well. The lug pattern is far better than on the X Ultra 3 so junk and debris does not get stuck as easily and also gives much better traction even on icy surfaces.
