They seem like quality pants, but I haven't washed them yet, so I don't know if they shrink and if washing affects the performance. And how well they last. The sizing is correct, i.e. in accordance with the size chart, but there is not much money for additional layers, the merino pants can fit underneath, but in addition to the fleece intermediate pants, it is already too tight (in the thighs). Today I walked 12 km under the Devold hiking jönsset. The temperature was around 9 degrees below zero and it was snowing all the time. It didn't get cold or hot, and the light frost didn't get wet. With the thicker Devold expedition jackets, you can handle almost 20 degrees below zero, at least when moving. They repel a little sleet, at least when new, you can do well with boxer shorts in subzero temperatures if the wind is not gale-force. I would gladly replace the thigh ventilation zippers with proper thigh pockets. The inner material of the pockets is fleece-like, easily sticks to dry and cracked fingers in the cold. Putting a handkerchief in your pocket and taking it out is awkward, especially if you have other things in your pocket that you have to be careful about falling. In addition, the zipper of the pocket mouth scratches the already hard skin of the hands.
