Building on the iconic X-TALON 200, the X-TALON 255 boasts even more durability and protection. Aggressive 8mm STICKY RUBBER studs claw through soft muddy terrain, sticking to wet rock and slippery obstacles. A hard-wearing ballistic nylon upper offers protection and durability, while a roomier fit and TPU Adapter fit cradle keeps your foot comfortable and secure.
Constructed from lightweight materials and featuring a 3mm drop, the X-TALON 255 is the perfect shoe for running fast over wet, rocky off-trail terrain and (OCR) obstacle course racing. Race with confidence and comfort over varied terrain in this lightweight, flexible racing shoe.
- STICKY GRIP rubber outsoles with aggressive 8mm lugs claw through soft terrain and hold firm on wet rock and slippery obstacles.
- Weighing just 255g – constructed from lightweight materials and featuring a 3mm drop - the X-TALON 255 is built for racing light and fast over extreme terrain.
- Highly durable upper made from hard wearing ballistic nylon, with TPU overlays and a rubber printed rand over the forefoot for additional protection.
- Boasts a wider fit with TPU Adapter Cradle to limit internal movement, keeping your foot secure so you can react fast and with agility over all terrain. A two-part gusseted tongue moulds to the top of your foot distributing the pressure and providing protection against dirt and debris.
- A rubber toe bumper protects the foot from rocks and obstacles.

I’ve run for the last few years only on a Speedgoat that fits my foot like a cast. I bought 255 for more demanding terrain, and a little doubted what it feels like on foot. I cannot praise these shoes enough. Solid shoe, superb grip and nice and wide in the toebox should you need to wear sealskin socks with them.

— Show originalTrail running shoe with an aggressive button pattern and a wide last. Top grip even in wet weather. A little minus about the rather plastic nature and the feel of the pieces on the asphalt. On the other hand, in those circumstances, this has not been done. On the other hand, we just have to run the transition before the trails start and the pieces are a bit annoying to run. They dry quickly, but the bottom pattern of the spring is quite mud. These are my first orienteering shoes with proper lateral space for the toes.
No need to buy oversized sizes to make sideways space for the toe.
The shoes are easy to put on and also easy to wash.
When running in the wet, the water doesn’t easily get into the shoes, which is really comfortable.
The former were the Icebugs and the previous Solomons, both of whom got wet even in small puddles.
I recommend! — Show originalA basic running shoe for the terrain. For some strange reason, I haven’t learned to trust the grip of this shoe in the same way as the Inov-8 shoes I owned earlier. I guess the grip is, in theory, quite good on different platforms, but there have been far too many slips on challenging surfaces, such as wet rhizomes, long trees and wet rock.
This shoe is quite ill-suited for mud and swamp running anyway, when the shoe is a bit difficult to dry and the dunk is then in line with it.
