Nice and light, perfect for what I need it for. However, the sheath tore through at a knot when abseiling on only it's 4th use or so. Pretty disappointed and after having a bad experience with another Mammut rope recently I wont be buying Mammut ropes again.

Excellent rope. The triple rating makes it great for multis with a party of three if you have two of them. Using it as a single in the alpine is great as well because it is light and provides the full protection of a single rope. I like to use it on alpine ridges and long climbs with walk offs.

Not impressed by this rope. On its third use when abseiling the outer sheath ripped at the knot with the other rope, exposing the core. The other rope (which was quite a bit older and had a fair amount of use already), did not suffer any damage whatsoever at the knot. My friend bought the same Mammut rope but 8mm twin version and on its first use rappelling his outer sheath also tore but along the rope length, weakening the core locally. Personally, I won't be going back to a Mammut rope again.
