Fabulous ice grip safety Traditionally made, double stitching mechanical sole to upper. Beautiful full grain luxurious leather inside and out, comfortable, cosy and secure underfoot. Resilient and long lasting No fussy flimsy membrane to hinder drying out or trap heat and perspiration which is an issue in hot dry Australia. Thoroughly recommend fabulous looking, traditional German craftsmanship.

Spacious shoes. Can fit another pair of socks or wool socks if needed. I haven't had a chance to try the grip on slippery surfaces yet.

Awesome and neat all-purpose shoe. Suitable for both day trips and city walks. Doesn't sweat in the autumn, even though it's a winter model.

Very nice quality. I specifically bought these boots because I wanted a sewn welt instead of the molded welt that most boots have these days. That way I can get the boots re-soled when necessary. It took several days to apply the wax until I was satisfied. Probably I used more wax than necessary. I am enjoying my boots now. it seems that the brown boots absorbed the wax a little better than the black boots. Perhaps it is a matter of how the leather was prepared.

Good and sturdy shoes. Of course, it takes a little breaking in so that the shoe molds better to your foot. The sole has good grip on snow and melted ground, but on ice it is no better than other shoes, despite the advertising.
