— Show originalThe stand that holds the front wheel feels more stable than the Thule ProRide, which is also found. So far I’ve only ridden a steel-framed cyclocross bike with it but I think this UpRide is better especially for transporting a carbon fiber frame road pillar and mountain bike, no need to risk the frame with that ProRide ‘grapple’ when the attachment is from the front tire. This method should also allow the electric bike (the battery to be disassembled to be lightened) to be transported when the ProRide's grapple would not extend around the oblique tube when it is very plump due to the battery and in my case square.
The only downside comes from the locking based on the back hundred of the rack pull-out wire. Once I’ve managed to reassure it with ABC in the yard but clearly loses its usability to ProRide’s ‘grapple’ lock. 4-5 stars.| Overall rating |
