For years, we have been developing our Pro Team’s “work clothes” in consultation with the athletes themselves - because their product requirements couldn’t be more extreme. With the Nordwand Suit, we have produced an innovative masterpiece that passes every test in snow, rock and ice. GORE-TEX® Pro material on areas subject to heavy wear is complemented by elastic GORE-TEX® on points of movement.

In combination with the special tailoring of the Mammut® High Reach Technology™, the Mammut® Vertical Motion ConstructionTM and an inner hip belt, the result is a suit that sits perfectly during every climbing movement. Simple but ingenious: the one-piece suit does not feel bulky under a climbing harness and rather than the jacket riding up when climbing, there are now no unpleasant cold bridges or bunching of materials. If you happen to work up a sweat on the north face, ventilation openings are on hand for some fresh air. The helmet-compatible hood can be adjusted using just two adjustment cords, even while wearing gloves, to ensure an ideal fit, with or without a helmet. Pockets are positioned precisely where you need them, the integrated snow gaiters can be adjusted neatly to fit mountain boots or ski boots and the seam edge reinforcements and crampon protection are made from the practically indestructible Dyneema material. Which means: the suit is your dress code for extreme conditions.
