Made of tarp strings, very good stuff for the following reasons: good friction (facilitates the use of half-generations), does not stretch and does not absorb water. I’ve tried three more strings for the same job, but this has been the best. If something bad has to be fetched, it’s the price. The rope is expensive, but I think it will last a long time.

I wanted to pimp the ropes for snow / sand wedges. Work great.

According to Hilleberg's own page, the product contains Vectran fiber braided in polyester, which behaves like para-aramids and has nothing to do with Spectra or other UHMWPE fibers, either chemically or commercially in terms of use. :)
