Product description

The year of 1997: It was a time when the blockbuster film “Titanic” was showing in cinemas, Tony Blair was celebrating his election victory in the United Kingdom and the German football team Schalke 04 was revelling in its UEFA Cup championship. It was also a time of transformation at LOWA. Werner Riethmann and his development team were busy thinking about a new way to produce hiking boots and make them lighter in the process. The foundation for a new way to produce hiking boots was laid by the leisure-time and running area. For the first time in the company’s history, LOWA produced a shoe that was directly injected and not cemented – the RENEGADE was born.

  • Upper Material Nubuck Leather
  • Construction Slip Lasted - Injected PU Midsole
  • Lining GORE-TEX®
  • Lacing Hardware Open and Closed Hooks
  • Additional Hardware Locking Ankle Hook
  • Monowrap Frame® MONOWRAP® Support Frame
  • Insole atc Footbed
  • Midsole Double Injection DuraPU™
  • Sole VIBRAM® EVO
  • Stabilizer Hard
When recommending shoe sizes, LOWA calculates with an additional length of 15 mm (12 mm for children). This has already been considered in the following information. Individual foot shapes and personal fit preferences can deviate from these recommendations.

Lowa size guide

Great shoe ! Exactly the same fit as my 10 years old pair. Color TAUPE is in reality slightly darker as on photos, but all in all great classic! I reccomend.

Have several pairs of Renegades, love the fact that they can be used as a tramping boot and also a casual walking boot due to the fact that there is not a black toe cover like most tramping boots tend to have. If the Manufacturers were to match boot toe covers to the boot colour I’m sure many people would see it the way I do.

My former ones, Lowa renegade shoes, served well for more than 1000 km. I walked Camino Francesia n 300 km and then later Camino Norte 802 with these shoes. The ones that have become summer work shoes are a bit small, only a thin sock can fit, so I updated the size to fit more. The shoes are falling apart a bit, I haven't been able to get rid of these old ones yet.. Since the model was known, ordering was quite simple. The new shoes are only in the break-in phase, but they feel good on the feet. Light but supportive of the ankle. verified buyer, 8.8.2022

A year's walk, about 1500 km, requires good footwear, here they are, already the fourth for me, all the previous ones have been in use for years.

I have been using LOWA mountaineering shoes since I lived in the United States. This time, I was confused about the Japanese-made mountain climbing shoes, but I was attracted to the color and chose LOWA again. Anyway, it's easy to wear, it's dark green and the stitches are less noticeable than the HP color, and the real thing is better. It cost about 10,000 for shipping and tariffs, but I like it so I'm satisfied.

The shoes I bought came for my wife, who fell in love with them forever. The shoes are stylish and feel good on the foot.
