A very functional beanie in September-October and March-April, when it is often difficult to judge what to wear. The beanie is thin, but it warms you enough when playing sports, at least up to zero temperatures. If you find it unnecessary in the middle of the day, it packs down really small in your pocket. Doesn't start to smell.
