Product description

The journey is your reward. Having once graced the cover of the legendary Time Magazine, Aether AG now takes a big step forward to make your journey even more rewarding.

Aether AG is designed for multi-day backpacking and carrying significant loads. The backsystem combines the comfort and ventilation of Osprey's multi-award-winning AG AntiGravity™ backsystem with the custom-mouldable fit of Osprey's next generation IsoForm™ hipbelt. A sprung mesh lumbar area, combined with stiff load bars integrated into the harness allows for impressive load transfer through the large muscle groups in the legs, enabling an even and comfortable backpacking experience.

Organisation and accessibility are key during long adventures. These packs stand out with multiple access points including the J-Zip front panel access into the body of the pack, as well as sleeping back compartment with wide zip entry an internal divider. The lid not only has multiple pockets but is also removable, offering great versatility. The top of the pack remains protected without the lid thanks to the deployable FlapJacket™ top cover.

An integrated rain cover, Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment, InsideOut™ compression straps and multiple attachment points allow you to carry your gear any way you like. Aether AG 85's high capacity allows for extra gear to be carried with ease on long or cold backpacking adventures.

Although the recommended maximum weight of the backpack is 25kg so about 30kg on the back this was just a damn good back. The places didn't get sore. I recommend.

Next hikes in the back and well carry the load on your back. Good adjustment possibilities and high-quality seams / stitching compared to many others. A little pricey maybe, but cheaper ones will find that saved in quality. Under the pseudonym, one cheap bag betrayed in the middle of the wilderness and the line was used to parse it even in some way. I recommend this!

So far I’m very happy with my purchase. I was looking for a pack that provided much needed additional capacity but the same time was comfortable and attractive. This is the first Osprey product I have purchased and I am impressed with the quality overall. So far the pack has performed well under load with sufficient capacity. A nice feature is how adaptable the pack is to smaller loads.

Good carrier, hip belt great, very spacious. The room divider should be fastened around and not just at the back edge and corners.

The ergonomics of the carrier are just fine, although the reinforcement plate should be more polar, now pretty loose. The adjustments worked just fine for a man of at least 177cm / 98kg in the L size, although the M size might have been an even better choice. about 20 kg of load in the test sense was towed, with which the backpack behaved in a balanced manner, and the carrying was comfortable. Filling and unloading worked well, the facilitating factor here was the fairly opening side of the backpack, the goods are well accessible. I wouldn’t put terribly more weight on this backpack myself, I guess that’s exactly the flexibility of the frame that might hinder going with higher weights, this good one to keep in mind when choosing a rebel. I got an offer of 200 €, so the budget of the carrier-class'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Really light backpack with a high-quality feel. Good adjustments and fits in the back for a long time. With tightening straps and removing the "cover" from the backpack, you get a package resembling a small backpack. In this model, the cover does not turn into a backpack unlike in the American model.

I haven't had time to try yet. First impression good!

Very good. Easy adjustments. Light. Fortunately, I bought a big enough backpack. 85L. The weight difference for a model smaller than 10 liters is only 100g. Sturdy hip belt.

Very comfortable to carry, even with a large load. The adjustments are sufficient. What you gain in weight is lost in the stiffness of the fabrics. The fabrics are certainly durable, but the backpack is very baggy and soft. With compression straps and their variations, of course, you can pack tightly. Note that the subdivision bulkhead is only a flap that is open at the edges, i.e., not fully specified. The top flap would need attachment to the front. And, as mentioned in many places, the European model is not a little backpack, but a rain cover. With these considerations, I highly recommend!
