Tested for 1 week, it's a great bag. Perfect for day trips.
The ultimate bag, in the 20 l range in EDC, in this price range, there is no better. The Direct Action Dust is a wonderful EDC backpack.
The strength (Cordura 500D = the right compromise between strength and lightness), sturdy YKK® zippers, Duraflex® material, Padded computer sleeve, 550 woven cord carrying handle, Ventilated back panel - Combat Vent System® the number of storage compartments, the MOLLE system, the size, the comfort once on the back, everything borders on perfection.
The price is the only obstacle to this purchase, even if the Varuste.net site has the best price.
A pleasure during daily use. I recommend, just check if the volume corresponds to your use.

There are plenty of pockets, the backpack also expands when you pack it and when you unpack it, it recovers and doesn't get left in the trash. Straight.
I haven't tested the water resistance. The adjustments are a minus, shoulder girths, etc. You can't stand it, but you have to fix it often.
Extra plus from the pockets and additional attachment from the multitude of possibilities!

Very well made pack. Perfect for day trips. I bought this as a carry-on bag to hold my camera, laptop, tablet, headphones and small accessories needed on trips. The coyote color is very nice, it’s got a brown-ish tint to it and looks nicer than the typical sand color. I wish it had a detachable waist strap like the larger packs, but it stows away pretty nicely. Would like a few more patch mounting strips, but this is really minor. Overall a very good pack!

Based on more than a week of complaining and traveling, excellent value for money. Very comprehensive compartments, e.g. you can put first aid kits in their own pockets in the middle compartment and break clothes etc. in the largest compartment and you can put what you need several times in the top compartment (a great place for hand sanitizer if you're walking around in a not-so-clean continent). The pouches with the "Taco magazine pocket" on the sides certainly absorb spare magazines well, but when traveling they fit all shapes of drink bottles snugly. Plenty of adjustment options made it fit well on your own back, and with various compression straps, you can effectively adjust the size of the backpack according to the amount of stuff at the time. Not once during the trip did I think of anything negative about the backpack, even though I complained about it a lot every day. Maybe the velcro-patch place could be bigger so that more stupid signs could be attached to it if there is any criticism that has to be in otherwise positive feedback. :D

Dust is a wonderful EDC backpack. I also use the larger Dragon Egg on occasion, but the Dust is my go-to bag if I don't need a lot of extra stuff. You simply can't go wrong with this backpack if you want a tight fitting backpack for tools, water, snacks, small laptop and papers.

I haven’t thoroughly used this pack just yet as I bought it for an upcoming deployment in Africa. My first thoughts of it is that the construction of the pack is absolutely top tier stuff! I did do a test run and packed it with everything I’ll need for a typical 12-hour mission as well as a few extras in case things went tipsy turvey. The overall comfort is pretty good, and when strapped up properly, it feels like an extension of my body. Needless to say, I’d buy this pack time and time again.
