It works for its purpose, but of course it doesn't prevent damage, if you tighten like crazy at a critical point with this one too. As with everything, you should use common sense with this. In addition to myself, many people will probably come up with a more affordable equivalent to this and will certainly be proud of the invention, but this is already so affordable in principle that I can't think of a reason not to buy it. By feeling your ass, you at least halve the critical pressure (of course, it depends on the position of the jaws and the part of the frame), which is enough to ensure that the clamp has sufficient tension for transport, without fear of frame damage when you drive into road irregularities that shake the car violently.

Easy to put in place. It’s a little hard to say about the operation based on a few uses, but the bike body is so valuable that it would feel silly to “save” and not get one.
