It seems practical, takes the worst of the recoil out of the blade. In the canopy, it nicely raises the noise level and thus disturbs neighboring competitors, improving one's own competitiveness.

The muzzle brake is good. Regarding the thread, note that M15x1 is almost the same as H&K's thread and this can be screwed into that place as well, but there is its own version for that gun, M15x1HK.
