Totally matching my expectations. I have been using different types/brands of snowshoes in the past but was always struggling a bit with the binding. This one here with the BOA-binding is really convenient to use and fitting perfect. No fiddling with cold fingers. Regarding floating properties I assume they are ok. Have only been using them in new, fluffy snow so far and of course you'll still sink into the snow. But still a huge difference to not using snow shoes at all. Also, to be fair, with rucksack I am a bit heavier than the recommended load. Also even though they are made for mountainous areas, do not expect them to replace your skies when crossing a slop. Skies would be more convenient, but it's a different thing. Overall, I would buy them again.

As first, Thanks Varuste! Lowest price on the net for the highest quality. I'm 193cm high and my weight is around 97kgs, so I'm quite big and bold. I owned a pair of Tsl 325, a pair of Inook and, last year, I've bought a "little" Tubbs 22". The little tubbs were already my favourite, of course I can't say that I was able to float on podwer, but overall it was already a good snowshoe, better than 325. To say it in asimple way, the VRT XL are simply on another planet, outperforming all other in every aspect. I've tested on different snows and traction, floating, bindings and all the rest was simply perfect. The only remark is that those big "Ciaspe" as we call them in the Veneto are extremely noisy, so not recommended for birdwatching or similar activities.

Walking made easy by the narrowness of the shoe. Of course, there could be more load-bearing capacity, but considering the other properties of the shoe, only a very small minus.
