— Show originalBig and good bags. Yes, the durability of those compression straps on the sides is questionable, as the strips are sewn at one end to the mesh fabric of the side pockets. Great paniers. I had Ortlieb panniers before and they lasted for 12 years with heavy use. I hope these will last as long if not even longer. The built seems of same or better quality. I appreciate the fact that they are much bigger than my previous paniers and hope that will reduce the tension on the seams (weakest points in my previous panniers - the seams tore apart due to heavy loading). I have been using them for a week now and so far so good!
