— Show original SCARAB™ Light is Velocity Systems’ answer to the fit issues that plague many body armors. SCARAB’s shoulder straps are narrower than many competing vests, but their ULTRAcomp™ system makes them soft and very comfortable, with the straps moving easily with the user’s movement using D-rings and providing a good fit for different shoulders. The length of the shoulder straps is also highly adjustable, which further improves the fit. The passageways in the strap pads also allow cables to be routed through them.
The front panel flap is easy to open and adjust to suit different needs and can also be removed completely if needed. The Velcro® fastenings on the front panel also allow chest rigs to be attached directly to the front of the vest. The Velcro® fastening on the upper front panel, the admin panel and the kangaroo pocket on the lower part, also help to modify the vest according to the user's needs.

Very comfortable even with heavy loads and with excellent ergonomics, especially in the shoulder area, where nothing interferes with the stock of the weapon.

Now I have been using plate carriers and tactical vests now for little over a decade, and i have to say that the scarab is indeed one of the best platforms I have ever used/worn!. Im part of a recon unit in the Danish army so Im used to always carry a 3 day pack or bigger, the point is that the shoulder straps are genius! Slim yet strong and also modular, so wearing a backpack for extended use alongside the carrier doesnt get nearly as uncomfortable as it would with other systems I have tried/used. Plenty of molle webbing. Plenty of room for expand or increase in size. I would recommend this to every soldier who knows the uncomfortable struggle of wearing a full recon backpack over a pair of wide plate carrier shoulder straps that gnaws into the neckline. Overall a brilliant product, brilliant quality, and brilliant design! That in my opinion beats the TYR PICO (which is danish army issued) any day of the week!
