The gun hood is an accessory for a chest equipped with a wide gun case, such as e.g. , Eberlestock Phantom Pack (G3) , Eberlestock Gunslinger II Pack (G2M) , Eberlestock Gunslinger Pack (GS05)


The hood protects your rifle from rain and the harmful rust caused by it. The gun hood can also be used as a packing bag inside the backpack. A thermos bottle and the day's snacks go inside the narrow hood. Gun hoods also work as a waterproof seat pad.

An open-top gun case can collect debris and snow, depending on the type of terrain you travel on. With this gun hood, or gun case extension, you can make the gun case closed and protect your gun and optics at the same time. The hood has quick-lock tightening straps, the counterparts of which can be found near the mouth opening of the gun case. When you hood the gun case, then the gun ring is a gun cover according to the letter of the law, so you can keep the gun in the car directly in the backpack or carry the gun on land where you don't have the right to hunt. Installation:
- Put the gun hood over the butt of the gun and pull the "sleeve" inside the gun hood over the gun optics. This is how you protect the optics from rain, debris and snow.
- Push the gun with the hood as far as possible into the chest gun case.
- If desired, lock the hood/gun with quick locks and tighten the straps so that the gun is pressed against the bottom of the case.
