This is my 2nd Suunto purchase after owning a D6i diver computer. I trust in the brand was the reason for this purchase. The Suunto steel is well constructed from what I can see. It is easy to use and customizable. Delivery was quick and efficient to the US from Varuste.net.

Large tunable color display and pressure / gas consumption monitoring possible wirelessly from POD transmitters. The rate of ascent was indicated by both a color and size changing arrow and numerically. Compass function clear. I don’t know how EON Steel could be improved anymore. Durable construction. The weaknesses naturally due to the large screen and durable construction are weight and large size. When using the wrist strap, the device grips the shoulder straps of the disc / vest when removing and wearing. Fortunately, the bracelet can be replaced with the included bungee straps, which attach to both ends (approx. 1/4 from the edge to the center) and hold the device parallel to the arm. This greatly reduces device sticking.
