Whether in your pants or jacket pocket. In a backpack, etc., well, always with you. Can withstand somersaults.
A pen still suitable for that side. A pencil is always safe / you don't do anything with gel pens. Or something in between.

— Show originalThe moisture resistance seems to work, a suitable size sleeve pocket for marking directions and distances. The tires are better than the competitor's, whose wire twists at the latest when its open end catches something. The sharp upper corners don't hurt when you remember to slip the notebook into the pocket with the lower part first.
