I've been dipped in fire a couple of times and the experience so far has been very positive! You have to be careful with the locking mechanism so that it doesn't open in the middle of grilling. The tension of the lock can loosen if the food in the halter dries and shrinks, and the food no longer tightens the lock. Halloumi, fish sticks, champignons and onion halves were very easy to shred. I recommend a hiking halter for a vegetarian's fire kitchen!
