Took a surprisingly long "run-in" but then acted like a sock. A true stiff-soled shoe - driving a car, especially a manual one, not these shoes on the foot is not a mere treat; is like sledding with your head to go. The rigid base provides a good foundation for longer trips and better A-grade foot / ankle support. The high (thick) upper and neat design language of the shoes are a Plus. Definitely the GREATEST minus the quality of the surface leather. The big difference between the left and right shoe (having traveled the same distances and terrains) I wonder that even these priced shoes use uppers that are quite lightly worn for a few months, like boots that have gone through the Winter, Continuation and Lapland Wars. The shoes have only been treated with Meindl's own products and now I am waiting for what the importer says about the shoe complaint. A small minus comes from the hooks on the straps that come out surprisingly out of the surface of the shoe and cause the shoe of the other foot of the shoe.

The best shoe I've been on my leg. No problem with severe frosts or waterlogging. The price / quality ratio is very much in place.
