A really high quality product. I personally use it for surface treatment of the body and neck of an electric guitar. It does not loosen, so it can be used well even at home. Layers can be added endlessly with light intermediate sanding, e.g. with 0000 steel wool. The end result is a really wonderful glassy surface. Bumps and scratches that may have appeared later can be easily repaired with new layers.

I am using this as a furniture oil varnish. It is great. I apply it very thinly with white Scotch-Brite. The Scotch-Brite keeps each layer smooth. I have also discovered that you can stain the finish easily by first applying a coat of Tru-Oil, and after it dries, again using Scotch-Brite, apply an artist oil paint. I like to use Burnt Umber. After that coating dries, apply more coats of Tru-Oil.
