Product description

Rab Sleep Limit: -18°C (0°F)

The Ascent 900 is a versatile mid-weight, down-filled sleeping bag that provides reliable protection in winter conditions. Designed specifically for regular outdoor use, it is ideal for those buying their first down sleeping bag, and is perfect for the likes of the Norwegian winter.

The Ascent 900 is a hard-wearing high performing sleeping bag you can depend on for comfort and protection in winter conditions. Ideal for general purpose outdoor use, from bothy to bivvy, the Ascent range equips you for regular mountain adventures. Durable, tough, and reliably warm, the Ascent is especially suitable for those wanting to invest in their first down sleeping bag. Offering excellent value for the feature set, which is similar to that of the more technical Rab bags, this hard working piece provides protection and comfort on the hill, trail, or peak.

Using a highly durable Pertex® Quantum outer fabric, the Ascent 900 sleeping bag is filled with 900g of 650FP ethically sourced European Duck Down. The generous wide mummy fit and wide foot box provide extended comfort and a spacious feel that is still secure and warm. The close fitting neck baffle design, internal collar and hood drawcord provide additional protection to keep you cosy when temperatures drop. Featuring a three-quarter length YKK main zip with glow in the dark puller, a plush bonded zip guard also excludes draughts.

Practicalities are taken care of with an internal zipped stash pocket stuff pocket that easily fits phone and other essentials. The Ascent 900 comes with cotton storage sack and stuff sack to ensure a manageable packsize and protection on the road. As with all Rab down insulated bags, it is hand filled in Derbyshire using Hydrophobic Down developed in conjunction with Nikwax®. Also available in Women's size, and Extra Long.

Pertex® Quantum outer fabric uses a tightly woven structure to provide a light and soft fabric that allows insulation to fully loft. With down proof construction, a DWR finish and soft feel, it's a lightweight and packable windproof fabric offering excellent weather protection

Fits max: Regular (<185cm), XL (<200cm)
Full Length: Regular 215cm, XL 230cm
Weight: Regular 1530g / 54oz (+170g / 6oz stuffsac), Long 1610g / 56.8oz

Good price-quality ratio with this sleeping bag. Has already been used for several years of hiking. By the time of the meter, the bag is warm for night frosts in the fall, but I have to put warm clothes on as well because I'm so prone to cold. Sleeping on the side is possible, although quite tightly. All in all, a very good purchase!

A good sleeping bag for cold spring and summer nights. Sweet dreams in a warm bag. Waiting for winter use

A good purchase in terms of price-quality ratio. At 17 degrees below zero, it was cool and in the middle of the night, more crank had to be added. It was nice for those 12-15 degree corners. The lack of a compression bag is a negative thing.

A very comfortable and warm sleeping bag. The first test night -14° in Etelä-Konnevesi National Park and a well-slept night.

Tested at -18 degrees below zero and works well. My height is 183cm and my body structure is normal. The bag has enough length and width for even a larger sleeper.

I have not tried the bag, but so far everything is ok. Shipping takes a little over a week.

A down bag was perfect for winter use. Usually, my lowest comfortable sleeping temperature is somewhere between Comfort and Limit, and it has been comfortable to sleep with this one even with a few -10 degrees. Smartphones the size of the current trend can no longer fit in the accessory pocket.
