The sling arrived quickly to Vermont , U.S. after back-order filled. It fit my 12 gauge coach gun nicely. What I don't understand is why the smooth side of the leather is on the inside when carrying ? Seems the rough side should be, so the sling won't have the tendecy to slip off the shoulder. Could I be mistaken?

Does this destroy the bluing of the barrels?
I cannot find any information on this so unfortunately we cannot promise it doesn't.
