Light, but not durable. The insulating foil within continually breaks down across all their XLite models, which Cascade Designs will not clearly explain before purchase. Hold one up to the sunlight, and you will see crumbling aluminium powder within- no matter how carefully you use ot store it In my mind, this is dishonest, and warranty claims should be paid out. Why did I buy another? Because they are small, stupid light, comfortable, and durable enough on the outside. What happens to the thermal rating after time? Who knows...

It requires attitude, but I personally don't see any problem with this. By far the lightest and most comfortable solution. I don't notice a difference when sleeping, whether there is a blanket under the calves or an extra mattress.

Really handy in size, I have this myself and a space blanket always in my backpack. Isolated enough to zero in the fall. Not as comfortable as inflated air mattresses but much lighter.

Small and light but still warm. The only downside is that it is very crunchy.
