I tried the Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Regular at the beginning of November, and I am very happy with the product. Here are the findings: - I slept for 9h on the concrete terrace (!). The concrete temperature was about +2 degrees. - When filled, Thermarest looked thin. When I put my fist and weighed it felt like it went "bottom". Before going to bed, I doubted how the insulation works on the hip and shoulders (on the side of the sleep). - The sleeping bag was Savotta Military. - The night temperature was about 3 degrees - There was no cold (perhaps more of a sleeping bag feature) but there was also no cold in the shoulder / hip areas. - Personally, I like to sleep on a pretty hard surface and for me the flexibility / softness of the platform was completely adequate. Note, however, that the Savota bag is quite thick in itself, it is worth measuring which bag / tray combination has to move. - If you like to sleep on a soft surface with a light sleeping bag then this may be hard, but there will be no bruising ;-) - The storage bag is big enough. It is easy to squeeze the tray to a size that makes the bag. On the other hand, if you don’t have quite weak hands then you get it almost half the size of a bag. I was thinking about having a thicker bag. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase.
