Vulkanus-teroittimessa on ristikkäin pystyssä kaksi teroitussauvaa, joiden teroituspinnat ovat kovametallikarbidia. Jousitetut teroitussauvat liikkuvat omissa sivuhahloissaan veitsen terän aikaansaaman paineen mukaisesti. Veitsen teroituskulma pysyy hahlossa oikeana. Rakenteeltaan Vulkanus on ainoa ristikkäissauvaterotinteroitin, jota voidaan käyttää sekä uuden särmän hiomiseen että terän viimeistelyyn. Vulkanus-teroittimen runko on joko ruostumatonta terästä tai polyetyleeniä. Teroitin täyttää elintarvikkeiden käsittelystä annetut CE-määräykset. Teroittimen voi pestä pesukoneessa. MM.
