That Peltonen's promise of -20-degree functionality is a handsome Vale. The glide is always at least moderate, often even good, but already at -10 degrees there is no grip. Closer to zero, instead, they have a “wall grip,” meaning these work best just when lubrication is most difficult. As almost completely maintenance-free skis, a hobbyist can be recommended if you are not forced to get into trouble all the time.
